In February this year seven members of Shidokan GB attended the annual winter Gasshaku in Frejus (about an hours drive along the coast from the French Honbu Dojo in Nice) organised by the French Shidokan Federation.

Landing late on Friday we hired a people carrier and drove through the now bustling Nice to the French Honbu Dojo. After dropping off our bags we were convinced into going out with the European Shidokan France President Gilles Richard (5^th Dan). After a few drinks we returned to the Honbu Dojo for the night. Other ESF members were also staying at the dojo including Eastern France and Corsica.
